FLUORITE

Locality: Huanggang Mine, Chifeng, Keshiketeng Qi, Inner Mongolia, China
Size: 6 x 4 x 4 cm
Very dark indigo blue Fluorite crystals covering a Quartz crystal. The clear Quartz crystal is
very evident in the hexagonal cross section viewed on the bottom and has a second
generation of small opaque quartz crystals overgrowing the large crystal. The final growth of
the blue Fluorite crystals is mostly complete, with areas of the white quartz giving a very appealing
contrast. This specimen is pristine all around.
